The Lee C. Fine Airport at Lake of the Ozarks has received a major upgrade to its runway, offering better safety and a more pleasant experience for its travelers. The $ 3.9 million dollar project help transform the area's longest airstrip with new pavement and updated lighting.
Thanks to a generous block-grant from the FAA, the project came in under budget, which was originally projected at $4.3 million. The project was executed by Capitol Paving. Updates included
• Fresh pavement on taxiway connectors, the hangar area, and access roads.
• New runway lighting, along with the installation of a brand-new beacon light.
Camdenton Memorial - Lake Regional Airport
On July 2nd, the airport held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the addition of new jet hangars. As the area has continued to experience growth, these new hangars mark a new era for the airport as they offer modern and safe storage for both private and corporate aircraft. With the addition of the new hangers, this offers new potential for increased air traffic as well as business opportunities for the area.
With both airports being able to accommodate medium and some large sized aircraft, there has been a substantial rise in air traffic not only from personal planes but corporate jets as well. The improvements to these airports should help meet the increasing growth and demand of the area.
